@DJNeekola Spins for @ChefArtSmith’s #PowerBearForEquality #Party at @LiaisonCapHill #Rooftop to #Benefit @HRC’s #ProjectOneAmerica and @TheDCCenter’s #LGBT #Community

This past Thursday, DJ Neekola performed at the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel’s rooftop poolside for the Power Bear for Equality party, hosted by Chef Art Smith.

Benefiting both the Human Rights Campaign’s Project One America and the DC Center for LGBT Community, the event featured exquisite little bites from Art and Soul as well as gourmet hot dogs, and a fully stocked bar for the cocktail connoisseur!

Power Bear 5

The event sold over 200 tickets, packing out the pool house rooftop! Pelonkey’s very own DJ Neekola very much enjoyed spinning upbeat lounge and house music for all of the guests, eager to grab a second with Chef Art!

The beneficiaries for the evening lay close to Chef Art’s heart. The Human Rights Campaign launched Project One America in attempts to bring more equality to the Southern states of the US, where LGBT rights are discriminated against and often times ignored. The DC Center of the LGBT Community is also looking to advance rights in the local city area.

It was a great party, and DJ Neekola can’t wait to spin for another amazing event later this month at the Liaison, Chefs Behind Bars, which is benefiting Share Our Strength. Grab your tickets here: http://chefsbehindbars.eventbrite.com, and also look for Neekola’s twitter contest, where she will be giving away two free tickets to a lucky winner! Just tweet a pic of your favorite cocktail and recipe with #ChefsBehindBars to @DJNeekola for your chance to win! See you there!

@Pelonkey’s @DJCharity Spins for @STKWashDC’s #UnmiSTKable Party at #Intermix

Pelonkey‘s lovely DJ Charity performed for an in-store event at Intermix, a high-end clothing shop in Georgetown. Featuring the sneak preview of the brand new STK steak house and lounge in DuPont, the event featured high-end cocktails and fanciful appetizers to tantalize DC’s chic fashionistas to come out. DJ Charity spun some awesome beats for the ladies and gents, all coming to find out exactly what the scoop was with STK and to do some fabulous shopping at Intermix. Thank you, Steve Vansickle, for the awesome photo of DJ Charity below!

Charity at Intermix

Event hosts Fran Holuba, Anchyi Wei, Kelly Collis, and Megan Salvaggio presented a fabulous cocktail party inside the store, offering all insight to the new attitude STK would bring to DuPont dining starting Arpil 24th. Charity enjoyed playing girly and bright tunes, mixing in high-energy dance to get the shoppers in the party mood, especially since 10% of all sales purchases from Intermix went to benefit UNICEF.
