On Tuesday, our wonderful Pelonkey team celebrated our amazing new tech partnership with a fun come and go happy hour! BAMtech members were able to meet and interact with our amazing Advisory Board, partners, and lawyers.

The whole team had a blast making friends! Pelonkey’s partners the Beat Refinery DJ school and Heist were there to sip in the celebrations!

Our amazing CEO DJ Neekola made a toast to a glorious future where Pelonkey will disrupt the beans out of the events and entertainment industry!

We are beyond thrilled to welcome BAM on to the Pelonkey team, and we can’t wait to make this app a success together!

Have you heard the great news?! The Pelonkey team is stoked to be officially in partnership with BAM Technologies, a local tech firm in Crystal City! Here’s our CEO Nicole Gallub toasting with BAM (that’s sparkling cider, kiddos)!

BAM has experienced and intuitive developers and coders that are going to help build out the Pelonkey site, making it into an indestructible, technically sound, and well-oiled machine! Here’s to a glorious group that can really help make Pelonkey become a reality and flourish! Look at that official contract-signing happening!

Tonight is Pelonkey CEO DJ Neekola’s birthday at Heist!

Tonight the Pelonkey team celebrates our wonderful CEO, DJ Neekola turning 21 again! We are all rockin’ out at Heist tonight to celebrate, as well as give away some awesome raffle prizes from Chuck Levin’s! Featuring a killer line up with a DJ Takeover, the city’s best Pelonkey DJs will be shredding the decks to make for what is fo sho to be a truly epic night!

Pelonkey will be reppin’ some awesome swag and announcing the raffle winner late in the night for our amazeballs prizes, including a JBL sound system and DJ headphones! Buy a couple raffle tix at the door, and these will enter you in to win the booty! Note – if you’ve already signed up on the Pelonkey site before 5pm today, you will automatically receive 2 free raffle tix! If you sign up tonight at the event, you will receive 1 free ticket entry! Otherwise, everyone is welcome to purchase the tix, 1 for $5 or 3 for $12. Purchase away because proceeds will go to the Meant 2 Live Foundation, as well as Pelonkey’s crowdfunding! Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is at Nordstrom Tyson’s Corner Center with Pelonkey’s DJ Neekola!

Last Friday, Pelonkey‘s very own CEO, DJ Neekola, performed for an in-store specialty event at the Nordstrom of Tyson’s Corner Center, with special guest Sarah Jessica Parker!

The beautiful SJP was showing off her fabulous line of designer shoes, each and every one of them making you feel like you were SJP herself!

While all the Nordstrom shoppers eagerly got in line to meet the beautiful Sex & the City actress and icon (and maybe even snag a pic and an autograph!), DJ Neekola kept the vibe upbeat, bouncy, and totally girly!

After her performance, SJP told Neekola that her music was amazing! She loved her pink hair and even asked Neekola if she could get a picture with her! How awesome!

This was definitely a highlight of DJ Neekola’s events at Nordstrom – we love SJP!! A big thanks to the wonderful Nordstrom team for having Pelonkey’s DJ Neekola perform for this super opportune reveal event!

Pelonkey DJs rock the decks at Heist for Industry Tuesdays!

Our amazing DC DJs were back at it again last Tuesday night! DJ Oz, DJ Vicious, Phlipz, and Pelonkey‘s very own CEO DJ Neekola shredded the decks at Heist for their Industry Tuesdays!

Switching back and forth for various sets, some heavy house, hip hop, electro, and modern hits were mixed and mashed, keeping the bottles popping, the tables full, and the dance floor packed the entire night! We can’t wait to have our awesome Pelonkey DJs rock the night at Heist again! Catch different peeps every Tuesday night, making magic happen. Pelonkey wins Tech Cocktail’s Startup Showcase pitch competition in Las Vegas!

Earlier this month, Pelonkey CEO Nicole Gallub went out to Las Vegas for Tech Cocktail Week.

On top of taking awesome tours of the Downtown Project, Zappos office, and the Vegas tech scene, Gallub also took workshop classes, attended seminars, and entered into a pitch competition to determine Tech Cocktail’s Hottest Showcasing Startup.

Pelonkey won! Gallub did an excellent job pitching the company, explaining how it will completely disrupt and revolutionize the event and entertainment industry! Way to go!

With this win, Pelonkey goes back to Vegas in October to pitch to a national audience of investors, business professionals, and other techies from across the US! Go Pelonkey!

Pelonkey Partners & Advisory Board Happy Hour!

On Wednesday, Pelonkey brought together its fabulous partners and Advisory Board members together for a meet and greet group happy hour! One of our great Advisory Board members, Tony Cord with DC Innovates, hosted the happy hour at his beautiful penthouse over in Thomas Circle, with yummy food sponsored by Chix (Eat Responsibly).

Stylus Chris and DJ Alkimist came out from the Beat Refinery DJ school to meet our awesome Pelonkey Board! The Beat Refinery teaches people how to be an awesome DJ, and they have partnered with Pelonkey because they believe in the mission – this business will disrupt the events and entertainment industry! Performing artists aren’t always the savviest on the business end. Pelonkey provides a secure business platform for the entertainers and puts the power of their contracts back into their own hands. The Beat Refinery is completely on board with that! Another Pelonkey partner, Heist Lounge owner DJ Dirty Hands came out for the celebration! Heist allows Pelonkey to host sponsored events at their venue at no additional fee, with a heavy emphasis on the DJ market for entertainers.

Other awesome Board members that came out were Victoria Michael with VM Relations, Rich Shea with HiBall Events, Eddie Fam with Meant 2 Live Foundation, and Steve Britt with Leach Travell Britt Law. DJ Neekola gave a quick update to everyone about all the exciting things that have been happening for Pelonkey, including our most recent win at Tech Cocktail in Vegas a couple weeks ago!

It was an awesome evening, and everyone had a wonderful time getting to know each other and being the DREAM TEAM that they are! Thank you, guys! Pelonkey wouldn’t be what it is today without all of your awesome support!

CEO, DJ Neekola, Represents Pelonkey for the June #MESmixer at Malmaison in Georgetown

Last month, DJ Neekola went to the Metro Event Specialists‘ June mixer at the beautiful Malmaison in Georgetown!

Representing her startup, Pelonkey, Neekola was able to network with some of the best in the event and entertainment industry.

Partnering up with the Meant 2 Live Foundation, Metro Events has started #MEScares by raising donated clothing and accessories for inner city youth as they join the city’s workforce, benefiting House DC.

It was a wonderful mixer, as always, and this time around was hosted by JBC Events. Neekola walked away with multiple new contacts from her great networking!

Look for updates on #MESworks as well, which are workshops to help companies boost their events business evening more by taking classes taught by experienced industry professionals. Hope to see you at the next #MESmixer!
